FITNUT COORDINATOR | Biochemistry 2019
WHY DID YOU BECOME A PART OF SCOPE?
I joined scope because it was a small, unique club with a variety of community service programs, all dedicated towards giving back to Los Angeles and the people who live here.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO LEAD YOUR SPECIFIC PROGRAM?
My heart was set on FitNut from the day I joined SCOPE, mainly because I was excited with the prospect of teaching children to be curious and excited about taking care of their own health. At a first glance, FitNut is all about reaching out to kids and allowing them to utilize the knowledge and resources around them to lead healthier lives. It is a program that I sympathize with deeply and it is one that I hope to see grow leaps and bounds from where it is now.
Fat Sal’s has a challenge where if you finish a monstrously unhealthy sandwich, you get a sandwich named after you. If I completed the challenge they would have to name a sandwich the Fat Refat!
FUTURE GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
I hope to become a pediatrician in Los Angeles, to give back to the many different communities that were a part of my childhood growing up. :-)
