PHA Logistics Coordinator | Bioengineering 2021
WHY DID YOU BECOME A PART OF SCOPE?
I joined SCOPE, specifically PHA, because of its uniqueness. There are many organizations at UCLA that provide clinical experience for students. But, there are very few programs like PHA where students can genuinely assist a patient and make an impactful difference. And if that wasn't enough, in PHA we embrace the upstream approach towards medicine. Why cure when you can prevent? This is the future of health care!
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO LEAD YOUR SPECIFIC PROGRAM?
I became a coordinator because I want students to understand the importance of our work and our upstream approach. I also want volunteers to feel comfortable with the resource component of PHA's mission. Beyond that, I want to share and spread my passion for the program. PHA has so much potential, and I want to be involved every step of the way.
