FITNUT Internal Coordinator | Psychobiology 2020
WHY DID YOU BECOME A PART OF SCOPE?
I wanted to educate underserved elementary schoolers about eating well and staying active. I love that we can simultaneously encourage these children to lead healthy lifestyles and introduce them to the idea of pursuing higher education. All SCOPE programs really focus on giving back to the community we are apart of, and that is something I truly value.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO LEAD YOUR SPECIFIC PROGRAM?
FitNut quickly became my favorite part about my UCLA experience, so I jumped at the opportunity to become more involved in something I am so passionate about. I am thrilled to be behind the scenes of the project and to help further develop and achieve its mission.
I have moved seven times in my life and have lived in four different states and one other country.
FUTURE GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
I hope to pursue a master’s degree in nutrition or public health and become a registered dietician. I want to continue working with children and encourage them to lead healthier lives. I would love to improve the the U.S. school lunch program and ensure that every child has access to nourishing and wholesome meals.
